Kongkrit Chaiyasate,
MD, FACS.
Board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon. Professor of surgery. A practice grounded in microsurgical precision and quiet, sustained patient care.

My path through medicine has been shaped by two disciplines that demand the same thing of a surgeon: exactness in service of another person. Microsurgery taught me to operate on vessels less than a millimeter across. Craniofacial surgery taught me that a face is more than anatomy—it is how a person greets the world. Bringing those two traditions to gender-affirming care has been one of the most meaningful chapters of my career.
“Every patient who walks into my office is trusting me with something deeply personal. My promise is the same whether you are nine or ninety: I will listen, I will plan carefully, and I will treat you as a whole human being from the first consultation through the last follow-up visit.”

International humanitarian surgery.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Chaiyasate has spent more than two decades volunteering on surgical missions abroad, providing cleft lip and palate repair, burn reconstruction, and complex craniofacial surgery to children who would otherwise lack access to specialty care. That work continues to inform the way he practices at home: with humility, attention to detail, and an awareness that surgery is ultimately a service to another person.
He lectures internationally on microsurgical reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, and gender-affirming care, and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in the field.
